Delivery and Equipment Maintenance Associate

The Equipment Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe delivery and pick up of rented equipment. In the process you will be responsible to instruct the customer on the proper operation of the equipment, have all contracts signed and record any equipment conditions you encounter, pick up equipment when customer is done and perform basic maintenance on the equipment. Additionally you are responsible for the proper care, maintenance and cleaning of the delivery truck and trailer. In this role you will have a passion to work with other employees, customers, vendors and others in the community. You will coordinate with the Shop Manager to ensure a high level of efficiency and accuracy within the shop, yard, and equipment delivery and pick up. You will assist the Shop Manager to ensure all required tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Daily equipment deliveries and pick ups

· General preventive maintenance of equipment

· Coordinate with Shop Manager to ensure a high level of efficiency and accuracy in the work being completed

· Lead by example in the safe approach to your work

· Load/Unload customers as needed

· Complete all required documentation for a high level of customer service

· Ensure customer satisfaction by providing instructions on equipment operation

· Ensure the delivery truck and trailer are clean and organized

· Other duties or tasks as required by management

SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· A valid Ohio Driver License is required with a clean driving record. Must be insurable by the company’s insurer

· Mechanically inclined and the ability to learn the proper operation of a variety of equipment in required, experience operating equipment is beneficial

· Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong customer service skills

· Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Most work will be done outdoors and require driving, entering/exiting truck, boarding/exit of equipment, climbing on/off trailer and working in the rental yard, at customers homes and worksite areas.

· May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.25 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
