Our client seeks a HELPER who wants to learn to be a skilled and experienced Light Commercial/Residential Electrician to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will learn to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential homes. We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of electrical systems who is detail-oriented and committed to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards and ensure safety.
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to plan and complete electrical projects.
- Install and upgrade electrical outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Test electrical systems and components for continuity and safety.
- Provide recommendations for energy-efficient solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly handled and stored.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desire to learn electrical systems, wiring, and safety codes.
- Ability to learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with smart home technology installations.
- Experience in solar panel or energy-efficient electrical systems installation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces, outdoors).
- Ability to stand, climb, and kneel for extended periods.
Work Environment:
The position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings, including residential homes and construction sites. Safety gear and protective equipment will be provided as needed.
