Known for delivering quality infrastructure solutions, it supports critical public and private sector projects in commercial, education, and multi-family across the region. It does not do single-family residential. With a legacy of excellence, strong market relationships, and a highly skilled workforce, it is poised for continued growth and operational evolution.
Their current President is preparing for retirement and is seeking a strong, visionary leader to take the helm and lead the organization into its next phase.
Position Summary
The President will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business including field operations, financial performance, business development, and organizational culture. This executive will guide the company with an owners mindset, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and excellence in execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the company
- Drive operational performance and ensure projects are completed safely, on-time, and within budget
- Manage and develop key members of the leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance
- Collaborate with finance and accounting to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and EBITDA performance
- Lead business development efforts and client relationship management
- Evaluate and implement process improvements, including technology and equipment investments
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
- Support and guide long-term succession planning and workforce development
Qualifications
- Required: Proven leadership experience in the underground wet utilities sector (e.g., water, sewer, storm drain installations)
- Strong understanding of excavation, trenching, pipe laying, and utility systems
- Experience managing P&L in a business with at least $5M EBITDA
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Familiarity with Central Texas market dynamics and regulatory environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Preferred: Experience working in rock-heavy environments and geographies
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
