Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Management Team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Commercial Construction (electrical experience a plus) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within the industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Project Managers in all aspects of Commercial Electrical Construction Projects.
You will assist while learning the planning, coordination, and management of various project tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Providing supervision to field teams and offering guidance to improve project progress.
- Assisting with tracking project budgets and costs.
- Assisting with communication between project teams and Customer.
- Helping to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. As well as compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations throughout the project.
- Providing support to field personnel, including assisting with change orders and submittals.
- Communicate with Lead Project Manager to provide project updates and gather necessary information.
- Track and monitor project progress, identifying potential issues or delays and proactively assisting in finding solutions.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, and schedules.
- Support Project Managers in managing scope changes and maintaining project quality.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.
- 2 years of experience in the Commercial Construction industry (Electrical Experience a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (Procore, PlanGrid, or similar).
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent job experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
