FULL TIME ASSISTANT DIRECTOR of NURSING for an EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (Level I Trauma) in Central NYS with knowledge of Joint Commission regulations. The ideal candidate will be experienced a NYS licensed RN in Emergency Nursing and familiar with the hospital systems and procedures. BSN is Required, MSN Preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: 3-4 years’ experience as an RN with at least 18 months RN experience in an Emergency Department.
- Moderate sedation competency within six months of hire into this position.
- Manage multiple projects, promote team building, engage stakeholders.
- Familiarity with The Joint Commission requirements.
- Interpersonal skills which ensure effective communication with staff, patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Knowledgeable in the area ofmanagement systems and processes.
- Analytical skills to assess departmental needs, develop, and implement planned interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of applied interventions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point & Meditech
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
- NYS Registered Nurse
- Certified Emergency Nursing within one year.
- Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire.
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- TNCC required within 18 months of hire
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
