Overview The Senior IT Analyst for the I&O Authentication Services branch will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting the Mission Support authentication systems for both on-premises and Azure cloud environments. This includes ensuring secure and efficient user authentication, supporting Active Directory services, and managing domain-level policies and trusts. The Senior IT Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the infrastructure that supports authentication services, troubleshooting user authentication issues, and administering Active Directory and Azure Cloud Tenant environments. Responsibilities
- Authentication Infrastructure Management : Manage, maintain, and monitor the infrastructure that supports user authentication, ensuring reliability and security.
- Script Creation & Management : Develop and modify scripts to manage and report on domain activities and user authentication processes.
- Smart Card Authentication Support : Provide troubleshooting and support for user smart card authentication, ensuring smooth operations for Personal Identity Verifications (PIV) and Common Access Cards.
- Active Directory Administration : Administer Microsoft Windows Active Directory domains, including using tools like Active Directory Users and Computers, Domains and Trusts, Sites and Services, and others as required for maintaining domain integrity and security.
- Azure Cloud Administration : Oversee the administration of Azure Cloud Tenant, ensuring proper integration and user authentication across the cloud environment. This position requires a dedicated individual with technical expertise in authentication systems, Active Directory, and Azure, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to ensure seamless user access and security. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and / or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are acceptable substitute degrees).
- Eight (8) years relevant experience.
- FAA experience highly preferred.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Azure Cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting for domain management and reporting.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting smart card authentication issues.
- Knowledge of group policies, domain trusts, and Active Directory Private Key Infrastructure.
- Ability to manage and monitor authentication services both on-premises and in the cloud.
