Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the plasma cutting table and pipe cutter to ensure high-quality cuts.
- Load and unload materials onto the cutting table and pipe cutter.
- Interpret drawings, and cut lists to determine job specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor adjustments on cutting equipment.
- Inspect finished cuts to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Safely remove and dispose of scrap material from the work area.
- Maintain general housekeeping in the plasma cutting area, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with additional shop duties as needed.
- Previous experience operating plasma cutting tables and pipe cutters preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with exposure to heat, noise, and dust.
