Job purpose
Assists the inventory movement manager in auditing the company assets, including documentation of the material and inventory movement recording processes in the procurement/subcontracting, manufacturing, and warehousing/distribution environment. Facilitates process improvement projects to ensure the company maintains accurate records of the perpetual inventory system across all business systems and locations. Drives engagement and business goals to continuously improve efficiency and eliminate waste
Duties and responsibilities
- Assists the supervisors in identifying, planning and implementing KPIs (key performance indicators) to monitor and drive business to improve inventory movement recording accuracy in a cost-effective way
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop continuous improvement plans, driving breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Utilizes ERP systems and other business tools to collect data on inventory process results, analyzes the information, identifies root causes, and reports on areas that need improvement to help develop more efficient systems and processes to achieve desired results
- Identifies and documents business and gap analysis for workflow and makes recommendations for change, involving process redesign and business case development
- Facilitates inventory movement process re-engineering within and across divisions and locations
- Drives excellence in continuous and unrelenting efforts to improve systems and processes
- Supervises and develops the inventory process improvement team across company locations
- Works with operations and finance/accounting teams to lead the design and planning of annual physical inventory and periodic cycle counts across all business divisions and locations
- Engages and builds a continuous improvement culture where people are motivated to do their best to help the company achieve its objectives across the company
- Travels to all business locations for meetings and driving process improvements as needed
- Performs other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Operations Management, Engineering or a related field, or 5 years of related experience preferred.
- 3 years of experience working in the manufacturing/distribution environment
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen continuous process improvement-related training or certifications
- Proven experience in process optimization, inventory management, or related roles.
- Experience in driving business process change and improvements
- Continuous and unrelenting effort to improve systems and processes
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively across departments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data
- Strong Excel, ERP, and other database/analytical software
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Self-driven individual with the motivation to grow
- Change management expertise with the ability to lead and influence others
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours
- Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member
- Ability to work in an interactive office group setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
