Job Purpose
Responsible for tests and technical functions related to the support of Quality Assurance activities
Duties/Responsibilities
- Audits processes, tests, and inspects products and/or develops, compiles, and evaluates data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products.
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications perform complex engineering testing, First Article Inspection, root cause analysis, internal corrective actions, and supplier correction actions.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and specs. Work with management or QA engineers to determine quality standards.
- Audits products at specified stages in the production or post-production process, and tests products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or cosmetic characteristics.
- Records audit data, applying quality control procedures.
- Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into a computer for analysis
- Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Analyzes test results and implements process changes to resolve problems.
- Provide operations support to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials, and manufacturing.
- Performs gage calibration activities
- Performs defective material disposition, rework, and containment activities
Job Qualifications
- Required: Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- 3~5 years of Quality Control Technician experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with Quality tools (ISO 9001, Auditing, Corrective Action, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, statistical techniques, 5S, Kaizen)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must have the ability to interface and communicate effectively, write legibly, and read/comprehend sufficiently to perform the duties required.
- Must have adequate vision to inspect products for small defects and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritize
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role has no supervisory duties and reports directly to the Quality Manager
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 8 hours per shift
- The ability to use arms/hands/fingers to feel and reach
- Be able to bend/stoop/kneel as needed
- Must be able to hear and talk to communicate with customers

Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member
