What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reliability and Maintenance Manager position at DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation?
The Reliability and Maintenance Manager will maintain and improve the performance of the company’s physical assets and control maintenance labor and material costs to achieve plant performance goals. Provide leadership for a 24/7 maintenance team with multiple work schedules. This team is comprised of a Planner, Parts Administrator, Maintenance Lead, and Maintenance Technicians. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and contractors
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the integrity and maintenance of all plant assets, including all production equipment, plant and process utilities, and facility infrastructure.
- Establish departmental goals that maintain focus on improving line efficiencies, product quality, and equipment reliability.
- Emphasis on developing and enforcing plant safety policies related to LOTO, confined space, electrical, and other industrial safety hazards.
- Implement actions to improve planned, preventive maintenance programs and expand the capability of CMMS utilization.
- Develop expertise in the maintenance organization on all mechanical, electrical, and control platforms.
- Determine skills gaps in the maintenance team and develop education/training plans to close those gaps.
- Establish clear performance management standards for all maintenance technicians and activities.
- Develop/Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for maintenance/reliability.
- Develop predictive maintenance strategies to increase reliability and improve the effectiveness of planned maintenance activity.
- Support the efficient operation of the plant through effective utilization of engineering and facility maintenance resources.
- Develop and foster a communication network that promotes interaction between maintenance, operations, engineering, EH&S, and other support functions.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering field preferred]
- Minimum of 7 years of increasing responsibility in plant engineering, reliability engineering, project engineering, or maintenance management in a high-speed manufacturing operation
- 10 years of Manufacturing Experience as a Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer
- Demonstrated understanding of equipment reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance, lubrication best practices, and precision maintenance techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with PLC Programming on platforms such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, Siemens, etc.
- Experience with high-speed and/or custom automation processes for assembly and machine tending.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC regulations/standards.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, boiler, compressed air, chilled water, and electrical distribution systems.
- Must be a user/implementer of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Must be capable of working flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 manufacturing operation, including weekends, and on-call as needed.
- 10 years of Manufacturing Experience as a Reliability Engineer, Plant Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer
- Experience in Web Converting, Paper/Pulp Converting, or similar high-speed, rotating equipment environment preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role would oversee the maintenance department
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours
- Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member
- Must be able to use, handle, and manipulate items and materials, including hazardous materials, with proper material handling equipment/tools.
- Must be able to work in an office setting, and spend partial working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
- Must complete 24/40-hour HazWoper Training and be medically qualified to wear respiratory protection

Safety Requirements
- Physically able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.), hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.) in any manufacturing area.
- Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.
The hiring range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
