DNV is seeking a Vice President of Energy Programs to lead demand-side, transportation, and flexibility initiatives across Arizona, New Mexico, and beyond. Since the early 2000s, DNV has been a trusted partner to utilities, customers, contractors, and distributors throughout the Southwest.
In this senior leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of energy programs, guiding clients and teams to achieve energy efficiency and electrification goals. Your key responsibilities will include strategic leadership, staff development, client management, contract negotiation, partner relations, market advisory, customer experience, and P&L oversight.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Demand-Side Programs for North America, you will collaborate closely with peer Vice Presidents, Key Account Managers, and other regional leaders to drive success. You will also be responsible for ensuring that your team has the capabilities and support needed to foster a high-performing, collaborative culture and an exceptional employee experience.
This role is based at our DNV office in Phoenix, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; Las Vegas, NV presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. What You'll do:
The role of a Vice President includes four principal responsibilities:
Client and Program Management
- Manage Key Client Relationships
- Ensure efficient and consistent delivery of energy programs
- Ensure safe, secure, and quality execution of programs
- Manage a slate of external partners including subcontractors and vendors
- Serve as a point of escalation for client issues and concerns
- Be accountable and responsible for the success of DNV clients
Business Development
- Assess and understand the primary regulatory and economic factors that contribute to the success of DNV clients.
- Participate, where relevant, in legislative and regulatory proceedings. Translate understanding of these arenas and client interests into business opportunities.
- Lead business development and strategy efforts, solidifying relationships with key customers to actively position DNV as a preferred consultant.
- Be primarily responsible for the extension, expansion, and renewal of contracts with key customers.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate continuous innovation and improvement to build and maintain a leading position in the energy efficiency and demand-side management space within the energy industry.
- Empower direct staff and their teams of employees, foster professional growth and progression, and encourage employee retention.
- Creates a flexible workforce and automates and optimizes workflows to deal with variable workload, improve quality and consistency, and quicken our delivery.
