Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) are critical to meeting the climate goals of companies and countries alike. DNV has a strong track record in CCUS built on key research performance, the development of related Recommended Practices, and delivering advisory work worldwide. It is anticipated that CCUS deployment will grow significantly in the coming years.DNV Energy Systems seeks a Carbon Dioxide Removal professional to join the CCUS Venture team. The CCUS Venture is a Global Team responsible for growing DNV’s CCUS business through strategic growth initiatives and introducing new innovative products or solutions.This position is preferable to be based out of our DNV office in Katy, TX, with a hybrid or flexible work arrangement. Other locations worldwide would be considered for the right candidate.What You'll Do
- Validation of CDR technologies and methodologies
- Advisory support for investors, government agencies, and industry
- Verification, certification, and independent audits of CDR projects
- Tracking and advising on policies and market developments related to CDR methods
- Support business development activities, identifying areas for growth within CDR
- Development of new (digital) products and services for the CDR market
Position Qualifications
What Is required
- Masters or Ph.D. in geoscience, engineering, forestry, or related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in carbon accounting, carbon markets, or CDR
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a related field
- Deep knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting principles and application, including scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
- Knowledge of voluntary carbon markets, emissions regulations, and government incentives
- Knowledge of carbon capture utilization, storage value chain, and industrial and nature-based solutions
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and flexibility to support projects in different time zones
