Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction estimating and project management, with a strong focus on cost control and contract negotiation. As the Estimating Manager, you will lead the estimating department, ensuring accurate and timely estimates for various construction projects while collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the estimating team, providing guidance and support in developing estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and specifications, ensuring all estimates align with project goals.
- Conduct thorough reviews of contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Implement cost control measures throughout the estimating process to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction management.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators to foster professional growth within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive pricing on contracts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data related to construction costs.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
