About our Client:
We are looking a candidate for a client in the manufacturer of consumer goods industry. The company is based in Miami, FL; and is well known for its products, especially for its extended line of wellness and nutrition, vitamins, body care, and cosmetics products.
Job Summary:
The Accountant / Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping for the company, as well as monthly and quarterly reconciliations for accounts. To succeed in this role, you must be a reliable and self-motivated professional with excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
- Enter data, maintain records and financial statements.
- Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner.
- Supply needed financial reports to the person in charge.
- Enter financial transactions in QuickBooks. Perform journal entries, maintain detailed ledger records.
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to give attention to details without giving room to avoidable mistakes or errors.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently and seek help or assistance as needed.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Distinctly dependable and trustworthy, with a strong and proven work ethic.
- Bilingual, English and Spanish.
