Job Summary:
The cleaner/maintenance worker is responsible for performing general cleaning and maintaining the overall appearance of our facility. You will inspect our premises and different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. You will also provide assistance to staff, visitors and other employees as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment checking for problems and reports back to supervisors.
- Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks as directed by the facility supervisor to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter removed from all areas of the facility.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Properly performs casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by supervisors and following appropriate safety procedures.
- Performs routine maintenance, replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit is not required to conduct the job.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Provides assistance to our staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED) preferred.
- Proven previous experience in building cleaning and maintenance work.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
- Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish, is preferred.
