Job Description:
We are looking for self-starting individuals who share our attitudes about creating great work in a collaborative environment. We are accepting applications for a CAD Drafter with experience in architectural & structural projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in CAD Drafting with 1 – 5 years of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Background or experience in architectural and/or structural design
Requisite Skills for Consideration Include:
- Ability and interest to shift between structural & architectural projects for design and documentation
- CAD drafting, modeling, and rendering, including AutoCAD
- Digital graphic skills, including proficiency with software such as Adobe Creative Suite & Autodesk
- Ability to sketch and draw by hand
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary design team on multiple aspects of design and planning
- Working experience with a variety of client types including public agencies, developer, and institutional organizations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and multi-disciplinary sub-consultant team communications
Project Design/Process:
- Ability and interest to work at various scales and tasks of interior build-out and architecture
- Demonstrate a well-developed understanding of conceptual design documents and fundamental theories of design / planning, project design, and execution
- Engage in all aspects of the design process including analysis, conceptual ideas, design development and documentation of mid-large scale projects
- Communicate overall design concepts, objectives, and critical issues, applying their knowledge to tasks and assignments
- Review design documents for compliance with approved program requirements of the client and respond to the technical implications of urban design decisions
- Be challenged and inspired to help create authentic places and environments
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
