Doane Family Farms LLC, is looking to add a farmhand to our team!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable farmhand to assist with the daily operations of our farm. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various crops, operating farm machinery, and performing general farm maintenance. This position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting cash crops such as corn, soybeans, & kidney beans.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, combines, plows, sprayers, and irrigation systems.
- Load, transport, and store harvested crops safely.
- Perform general farm maintenance, including repairing machinery, cleaning equipment, and maintaining irrigation systems.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling of agricultural chemicals and machinery.
- Work collaboratively with other farm staff to complete daily tasks efficiently.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and tools safely.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and working long hours in planting/harvest
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic mechanical skills for repairs on farm equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and peak harvest times.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus for operating larger equipment or transporting goods, but not required)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
