Purpose of Job
Fall Semester 2025-Spring 2026 (Onboarding begins Spring Semester 2025)
Responsible for managing and promoting service opportunities for Doane students to engage in the community. Specifically focused on supporting efforts to track, post and approve service opportunities through Helper Helper as well as promote the platform and opportunities present. Students will also help form signature service partners between on campus sports teams, arts groups and student organizations.

- Alternative Break Coordinator
- Marketing & Promotions Coordinator
- Community Partner Coordinator
General Description and Duties
- Facilitate the Alternative Breaks program in both the Fall and Spring alongside the Assistant Director of Leadership & Service.
- Promote service opportunities posted on Helper Helper to the broader Doane community
- Educate students, faculty and staff on the Helper Helper platform
- Help form signature service partners between on campus sports teams, arts groups and student organizations.
- Attend Doane Serves meetings
- Attend required Spring Student Leadership Training (Sunday, April 27th)
Special Skills or Knowledge Required
- Community service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and time management skills
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team

Total Weekly Hours Required
1-2 hours per week. Paid by stipend. Stipends range from $200-$400 per semester based on role.
