The College of Business at Doane University is seeking visionary applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Agribusiness and Agribusiness Program Director. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the agribusiness program while also engaging in teaching and scholarship activities. About Doane University’s College of Business (COB)Doane University’s College of Business (COB) is ACBSP accredited and serves both undergraduate and graduate students at our campuses in Crete and Lincoln, Nebraska. The COB encourages active and experiential learning, fostering innovative pedagogical approaches that enrich the student experience.Position Overview: Program Leadership and Faculty RoleWe are looking for a dynamic leader to serve as Agribusiness Program Director and Assistant or Associate Professor of Agribusiness. This role will place you at the forefront of agribusiness education, where you will have the opportunity to shape the program’s future and inspire the next generation of leaders in this vital field.Faculty ResponsibilitiesIn your role as Assistant or Associate Professor of Agribusiness, you will:Teach a variety of agribusiness courses across different modalities (in-person and online).Utilize expertise in one or more of the following areas: agricultural management, technology, finance, sustainability, data analytics, and economics.Engage in faculty scholarly and service activities, contributing to the field through research and professional development.Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the College of Business to ensure a high-quality educational experience for students.Program Director ResponsibilitiesAs the Agribusiness Program Director, you will:Program growth: Creatively expand opportunities for agribusiness education.Curriculum development: Continuously evaluate and update the curriculum to reflect industry trends, innovations, and global perspectives.Advisory Board collaboration: Work closely with the Agribusiness Advisory Board to guide program development.Faculty mentorship: Support and mentor agribusiness faculty to foster a culture of academic excellence.Student engagement: Serve as the Agribusiness Club advisor and oversee program scholarship and endowment programs.Industry partnerships: Participate in relevant events and actively develop industry partnerships to enhance student opportunities and program visibility.Why Join Us?At Doane University, you’ll join a forward-thinking institution where you can:Lead and shape a growing agribusiness program that integrates real-world challenges and industry partnerships.Be part of a collaborative academic environment that values innovation, professional growth, and interdisciplinary learning.Mentor and inspire students who are eager to make an impact in the agribusiness field.Engage with faculty who share your passion for teaching, scholarship, and service.The anticipated start date for the position is August 2025.Doane University actively works to create and sustain a welcoming learning community for all members to fulfill their potential, feel valued, and make meaningful contributions to the university.
