This is a pivotal role for a scholar-practitioner passionate about preparing aspiring school leaders to lead with purpose, equity, and integrity, through a servant leadership disposition.The Program Director is a 12-month tenure track position that will lead all facets of the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership program and actively teach graduate-level courses, designed to meet the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) standards for administrative certification, specifically for the PK-8, 7-12, K-12 Principal Endorsement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively, advising graduate students, while ensuring the high-quality program remains current, robust, and responsive to the evolving needs of Nebraska’s schools, communities, and districts.Primary Responsibilities Include:Provide strategic academic and administrative leadership for the M.Ed. Educational Leadership program.Ensure full alignment of coursework and clinical experiences with the Nebraska NDE Principal Endorsement requirements, including NELP standards and Rule 24 guidelines.Teach graduate-level courses (in-person, hybrid, online) in areas such as instructional leadership, continuous improvement, supervision, equity in education, and organizational change.Recruit, mentor, and evaluate adjunct faculty; support excellence in graduate instruction across delivery formats (online, hybrid, in-person).Coordinate student advising, admission review, academic progression, and candidate endorsement preparation.Lead program accreditation and compliance efforts, including CAEP and NDE reporting.Cultivate partnerships with Nebraska school districts to support candidate field placements and leadership practice.Engage in scholarly and service activities aligned with institutional and programmatic goals.Represent the program in college-wide leadership and contribute to the advancement of the School of Education and the broader academic community.Honor fiscal and facilities responsibilities through effective budget management.The desired start date for the position is July 1, 2025.Doane University actively works to create and sustain a welcoming learning community for all members to fulfill their potential, feel valued, and make meaningful contributions to the university.
