Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator (Lead Oracle Administrator) to add to our team. The ideal team member will lead and guide all design and upgrade efforts encompassing the Oracle Database environments across a large-scale enterprise Information Technology (IT) program.
Duties
- Ensure Databases are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Support database migrations and consolidations (ad-hoc and scheduled).
- Oversee database replication, which may include the setup for new replication activities.
- Develop Service Design Packages and maintain SOPs for all Oracle database systems.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations, upgrade and optimize the performance of Oracle Databases and support future planning efforts.
- Configure environments for and in support of all Oracle database related aspects of user acceptance testing, functional acceptance testing, system-level testing, database security testing, installation / migration testing, configuration / compatibility testing, and performance, load and stress testing, as well as support of systems assurance tasks.
