I. General Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Parts Training Director to lead, develop, and execute a comprehensive training strategy for our network of heavy-duty truck dealerships. This role will be responsible for designing and delivering effective training programs that equip parts department staff with the technical knowledge, sales skills, and customer service expertise needed to optimize parts sales, inventory management, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the heavy-duty truck industry, a passion for developing talent, and a proven track record of building successful training programs.

II. Key Responsibilities :
- Training Program Development :
- Design and implement training curricula focused on parts department operations, product knowledge, sales techniques, inventory management, and customer service.
- Develop specialized training for parts managers, sales representatives, warehouse personnel, and counter staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Partner with OEMs, vendors, and internal subject matter experts to create content that addresses both industry trends and company-specific needs.
- Training Delivery :
- Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and webinars for branch personnel across multiple locations.
- Implement a blended learning approach that includes in-person sessions, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training.
- Ensure that training materials are current, engaging, and aligned with both company goals and branch needs.
- Performance Evaluation & Improvement :
- Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs and track employee performance improvements.
- Provide coaching and feedback to parts department staff and management to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify knowledge gaps and recommend additional training or process changes to enhance department performance.
- Collaboration & Leadership :
- Work closely with regional and branch management teams to understand local challenges and tailor training solutions accordingly.
- Act as a subject matter expert on parts department best practices and stay up to date with industry changes, new technologies, and OEM guidelines.
- Operational Support :
- Develop training manuals, SOPs, and resource guides for parts department employees.
- Support the onboarding process for new parts department staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to succeed from day one.
- Assist in standardizing parts operations across branches to improve consistency, efficiency, and profitability.
