Job Overview
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting accounting functions specific to the construction industry. The ideal candidate must have experience using SAGE Timberline and be familiar with construction accounting processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Record-Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget tracking.
- Ensure proper job cost allocation and track project expenses.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and expense reports.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments.
- Verify subcontractor compliance with lien waivers and insurance requirements.
Payroll & Compliance Support
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with prevailing wage regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure tax filings and financial records comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Construction-Specific Accounting
- Manage job cost accounting and track costs against project budgets.
- Process and track AIA payment applications and contract billing.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for project managers and executives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
- Must have experience using SAGE Timberline
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, job costing, and contract billing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,684.00 - $70,000.00 per year
