The Director of Corporate Development leads Dobson Fiber’s growth and development activities. The position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and cultivating merger and acquisition opportunities and overseeing the entire M&A process. This role identifies lucrative opportunities ahead of the competition. Also, lead negotiations to ensure the most favorable terms and meet organizational objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Responsible for researching the market and presenting findings and suggestions for relevant prospects for the business.
- Identify, evaluate, and value acquisition and strategic collaboration opportunities and analyze incoming opportunities.
- Manage the M&A pipeline, present updates and deal progress to internal stakeholders, and manage corporate development systems and tools.
- Support the execution of acquisitions and strategic minority investments, including conducting market landscapes, performing financial / valuation analyses, and coordinating all aspects of due diligence in partnership with the leadership and other stakeholders and cross-functional workstream leads, as well as post-transaction integration.
- Initiating and implementing action plans for due diligence and formulating preferred approach routes.
- Constructs and actively communicates with cross-functional departments to support the diligence, investigation, and integration of prospective opportunities.
- Provide analytical analysis of monthly billing data and customer trend metrics to senior executive team.
- Semi-annual reporting of FCC Broadband Data Collection (BDC) service areas and subscriber metrics.
- Annual reporting of Enhanced A-CAM subscriber data to the FCC.
- Provide recurring reconciliations of residential passings data using GIS reporting tools as well as ad hoc reporting of geospatial data requests.
- Coordinate with outside consultants to maintain and troubleshoot data warehouse data as needed.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting of residential and business customer activity and billing metrics.
- Perform revenue assurance reconciliations on a monthly basis between workflow databases and billing system.
- Daily review and approvals of underlying circuit invoices as well as analysis of profitability of off-net circuits and ensuring that underlying circuits are disconnected on a timely basis by working closely with Service Delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of progressive strategy and corporate development experience in the communications and/or broadband sector
- Ability to establish open, respectful, and candid relationships and exhibit a high degree of professional ethics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong skills in relational database management systems such as SQL and BI tools.
- Capability to negotiate financial deals, along with the ability to make wise decisions and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to bring insights realized from processing raw information and data.
- Ability to formulate and articulate viewpoints, both verbally and written, in a clear, succinct manner.

- Working under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited at any company facility, workplace, worksite, or when operating any company vehicle or equipment. Any employee, contractor, or subcontractor who works or reports to work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs will be subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination of employment or loss of contract.
