he Regional Field Operations Manager to optimize the operational aspects of our fiber network for their assigned market. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Lead a team of installers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a safe high-performing and engaged workforce in the field.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, project management, and customer service, to coordinate and align activities for successful network deployment and service delivery.
· Oversee the execution of network expansion projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
· Manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and service providers, ensuring the availability of necessary resources and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the performance and reliability of the network, and implement corrective measures as needed.
· Conducts employee performance appraisals and communicates feedback effectively.
· Supports the installation, maintenance, and construction of network services.
· Evaluates trends in data and identifies the root cause of issues to develop solutions to customer service or network issues.
· Interacting with customers as needed to ensure service satisfaction.
· Manages mandatory training on compliance, safety, systems and general process changes.
· Maintains and secures administrative records for tracking employee attendance, records of work performed, training completed and other important metrics.
· Resolves grievances and workplace issues to maintain and enhance a positive working environment.
· Travel required within work geography. May be overnight at times depending on geography size.
· Prioritizing workload based on due dates and customer requirements.
· Tracking jobs status and accomplishments including the close out of completed jobs.
· Maintaining productivity and cost reports.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
· Bachelor's degree desired. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Proven experience in managing operations within the telecommunications industry, preferably with a focus on residential fiber networks.
· Strong technical knowledge of fiber optic networks, including design principles, installation practices, troubleshooting methodologies, and maintenance procedures.
· Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve operational excellence.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
· Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results within established timelines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
· Proficiency in using network management systems, operations support tools, and other relevant software applications.
· Flexibility to work outside regular business hours.
· Experience in managing & leading cross functional teams.
· Technical knowledge of OSP underground systems and typical construction standards.
