Job Title: Generator Installation Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Generator Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and possibly maintaining backup and standby generators at residential, commercial, and industrial locations. The role requires technical expertise in electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and quality service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Install backup generators and associated systems at customer locations, including wiring and electrical connections.
• Inspection: Understand and assess generator installations to ensure compliance with codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain installation processes, safety protocols, and operational guidelines. Address any customer concerns or questions about generator operation.
• Documentation: Complete and maintain detailed records of installations and repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for both the technician and the customer.
• Team Collaboration: Work with other team members, including office team and service technicians, to ensure seamless project completion.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in generator installation, electrical work, or related fields is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical systems, and wiring diagrams.
• Certifications: Electrical certification or relevant industry certifications (such as NFPA or OSHA) is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), work in varying weather conditions, and perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and climbing.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
