Position Overview: The Renovation Project Coordinator will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of renovation projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a good understanding of construction and renovation processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of renovation projects, including planning, scheduling and executing.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and managing client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and that any delays or issues are promptly addressed.
- Site Visits & Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project records, including contracts, change orders, permits, inspections, and progress reports. Provide regular status updates to clients and management.
- Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Proactively address any challenges or issues that arise during the renovation process, including delays, unforeseen costs, or design changes.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the renovation work meets the company’s quality standards and is completed to the client’s satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of experience in construction project coordination, renovation management, or a related field.
- Education: A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, MS Project) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with construction drawings, building codes, and renovation processes.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing project conditions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the renovation project are completed to a high standard.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to visit job sites and conduct site inspections.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (materials, documentation, etc.) if needed.
