We are seeking a Part-Time Dentist to work at a county jail(s) in the Greensboro Area.
Candidate must possess strong diagnostic and clinical skills with an emphasis on oral surgery. This is a unique opportunity for Dentists looking to earn supplemental income without the administrative responsibilities, “selling of dentistry”, or overhead costs associated with a traditional private practice. You will have access to DOCS’ Chief Dental Officer 24/7 for clinical consultation and support.
- Consistent scheduling: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30am - 3:30pm
- Dental assistant provided
- Logistics arranged by DOCS
- No insurance claims or need for credentialing with various insurance companies
- Malpractice reimbursement
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental services within designated hours of operations.
- Utilize universal precautions for patient dental care.
- Exam, diagnose and treat patients consistent with professional standards and defined scope of service.
- Document patients’ needs for every dental encounter utilizing the SOAP format, update the patient health history, and obtain patient consent prior to delivering of care.
- Keep patient information confidential and respect patients' rights to privacy, in accordance with accepted confidentiality practices for incarcerated individuals.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Dentistry Medicine (DDS/DMD)
- Experienced clinician preferred
- Recent graduates encouraged to apply
- One (1) year of experience in oral surgery preferred
- Active and unrestricted State Dental License
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills
