Position Overview:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Hospitalist team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient care, manage acute and chronic conditions, and work alongside physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform admissions, daily rounds, and discharges in a hospital setting.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses in hospitalized patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital protocols.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (NP) or a Physician Assistant (PA) degree from an accredited program.
- Board-certified as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Active Kentucky state license (or eligibility to obtain).
- DEA certification and BLS/ACLS certification.
- Previous hospitalist or acute care experience preferred, but new graduates with strong inpatient training are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
