Hematology/Oncology Physician
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology physician to join our team at a state-of-the-art clinic in Cumberland, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Provide independent patient care services in the clinic setting.
- Conduct on-treatment patients, new consults, and long-term follow-ups.
- Perform 2-3 inpatient visits per day.
- Collaborate with other physicians and APPs to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- BC or BE certification in Hematology/Oncology.
- 3 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology (no brand new grads).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Inpatient consults are conducted during the day to allow for inpatient rounding or documentation completion. The Meditech EMR system is used for both inpatient and outpatient care.
Benefits:
- Average daily inpatient volume: 2-3.
- Average daily admissions: 1.
- Average daily consults: 2.
- Average daily outpatient volume: 16-18.
- APP/Midlevel coverage available 8am-4:30pm.
About the Clinic:
The clinic is well-supported by nursing and administrative staff. While there are no admissions, providers are expected to be available after hours for clinical care questions or emergencies. Call volume is very low.
