Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including hospitals and teaching hospitals. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and the ability to perform airway management. The Nurse Practitioner will also be involved in patient education and and durable medical equipment (DME) as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
- Perform necessary procedures such as airway management and administration of dermal fillers when applicable.
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in nursing.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare protocols.
- Strong ability to lift patients safely as required during assessments or procedures.
- Experience with airway management techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of dermal fillers is a plus for aesthetic-related practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to assess vital signs accurately and respond to emergencies effectively.
- Experience working in a hospital or teaching hospital environment is desirable.
