Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting, ensuring timely and effective treatment for a variety of medical conditions. This role requires a strong clinical background and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Administer treatments, including Botulinum toxin treatment, as necessary.
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions, including critical care cases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education to patients regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Oversee case management for patients requiring follow-up care or specialized services.
- Ensure compliance with Workers Compensation law and utilization management protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, coding, and treatment plans.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center protocols is advantageous.
- Experience in memory care or hospital medicine is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of critical care practices and case management principles.
- Proficiency in coding and documentation standards related to urgent care services.
- A valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification are required.
