What are the responsibilities and job description for the Urgent Care Physician Assistant position at DocStar Medical Partners?
Docstar is working with a client of ours that is looking for an Urgent Care PA for a Locum Tenens role. You will be covering three locations in Springfield, MA all within 20 mins of each other.
Start date needed / work schedule etc : ASAC, 40 hours per week M-F 9a-7p, Sat / Sun 8a-4p, they will do full time (40 hours) over a 7 day period, can potentially do more if they want more shifts.
LOA : Through April 23
EMR system : Cerner
Credentialing time frames : 90 Days,
Covid-19 vaccination requirements : (If applicable) Required (bylaw)
Average # of patients per day : 20-30 / day
Most Common Cases : Lower back pain, std s, rashes. They have been doing telehealth for URI s and if they know telehealth that would be a plus.
Procedures : They won t be the only one there, they are a second provider so they are flexible. Being able to suture and do I&D s is ideal.
Inpatient or outpatient setting or mix : OP only
Age Range : Around at most 10-20% peds (over 2 years old), the rest adult
Call requirements : No Call
Support staff onsite : 1 additional provider, nurse, PSR, MA
