Job Summary And Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
The Trauma Performance Improvement Clinical Specialist is a Registered Nurse who will assist the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager in coordinating performance improvement reviews of all trauma cases. This would include, but not be limited to, providing information to trauma program staff, hospital staff, patients/families, EMS community, and coordinating performance improvement activities as indicated. The Trauma Performance Improvement RN designs, plans, and implements formal and informal education programs based on performance improvement outcomes. They demonstrate clinical nursing competency and act as a clinical resource, functioning as a role model for patient care and assist in staff and community development. This position reports to the Trauma Program Director.

What qualifications you will need:
- Associates Degree from an accredited school of nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Valid RN license from the GA Board of Nursing or equivalent eNLC license required.
- 5 years nursing/clinical experience in a trauma designated facility
- BLS required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be obtained within 1 year of hire
- ATCN, TCRN, and CEN preferred
- Must have clinical expertise in the practice of critical care nursing, good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, knowledge of trauma systems, experience in performance improvement, self-directed with flexible hours.
