What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant/Family Nurse Practitioner position at Doctors Urgent Care Walk-In Clinic Jackson?
We are seeking a Physician's Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Compassionate Team player
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR programs
- Ability to work as a sole provider at an outpatient facility with a medical supervisor available on call
- Ability to consistently present a friendly, welcoming, and professional appearance
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Administer injections, immunizations and other medical procedures
- Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations
- Provide counsel and medical treatment to patients
- Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed Physician's Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Michigan
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Must be a graduate from an accredited institution
- BLS and ACLS required
- Strong leadership qualities
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will be required to work at our Jackson location which is about 45 minutes away from our corporate branch.
