Internal Medicine practice in Waycross, GA, seeks a bilingual, full-time Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our staff.
The LPN/MA will help run the front desk, schedule patients, prepare charts, interact with other provider offices, and provide other support as needed. In addition, they will be responsible for providing clinical support to the provider and patients, maintaining documentation and efficient clinical flow, and ensuring that our patients are diagnosed, treated and monitored to the highest standards of care.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
· Escorting patients, taking vitals and documenting family andmedical history and medications
· Appointment scheduling and pre-visit planning with provider
· Assisting provider in EHR documentation and orders
· Making and responding to patient emails, phone calls and messages
· Assisting with in-office minor procedures
· Working closely with health insurance providers to obtain procedure authorizations
· Managing physician’s schedule, including appointments and minor procedures
· Collaborate with other practices to streamline patient care
· Ongoing self-learning about geriatric health and diseases
· Ensuring that the physical space is well-kept and orderly
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· 1-3 years’ experience working as an LPN or Medical Assistant is required
· Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credentialed for Georgia is preferred
· Bilingual (Spanish/English)
· Internal Medicine experience is preferred
· Knowledge of electronic medical records, e-prescribing, scheduling and charge entry
· Experience with medical insurance policies
· Availability to work an occasional Saturday
· Good communication skills (telephone and in-person)
· Excellent customer service skills with a positive, friendly and highly professionalattitude
· Ability to work well with a team
· Self-motivated and creative
POSITION OFFERS:
· Full-Time Hours: Tuesday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
