Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and caring Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in women's health and be dedicated to supporting our providers and patients through excellent clinical and administrative services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take patient histories and vital signs
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, prenatal care, and postpartum care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patients
- Assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients
- Support quality improvement initiatives and continuing education efforts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an OB/GYN or women's health setting
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
