Description
We are looking for a responsible and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery, set-up, and removal of office product equipment at customer locations. You will ensure that all equipment is handled properly, loaded securely, and transported safely. Maintaining excellent communication with customers, dispatch, and sales personnel is essential to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily delivery, set-up, and pick-up of office product equipment to and from customer locations in a safe and secure manner
- Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork related to deliveries, moves, store until and pickups.
- Maintain excellent communications with customer, dispatch, and sales teams by providing prompt, professional, and courteous service.
- Organize and maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment in the warehouse, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
- Adhere to all safe driving regulations while operating delivery vehicles.
- Perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and maintenance.
- Deliver toner supplies to customers as required.
- Perform meter reads at customer sites to track equipment usage.
- Assist with inventory management of parts, supplies, and equipment to ensure stock levels are maintained
- Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of all tasks.
- Perform other duties as directed by management to support warehouse operations.
Experience and Required Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of inventory management systems and shipping processes.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in all stages of the shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
- Customer Service Orientation: Ability to manage customer orders and shipping needs.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Planning & Organization: Efficient work management to meet deadlines and manage tasks.
- Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively with others in a warehouse environment.
- Work Standards: Commitment to high-quality standards, especially in inventory handling and shipping accuracy.
- Follow-up: Ensuring orders, and inventory needs are met in a timely and consistent manner.
- Experience: Experience with inventory systems, shipping, driving, and using equipment like forklifts could be a plus.
- Inventory Management & Shipping: Picking, packing, and shipping parts related to service calls, restocks, and customer supply orders.
- Inventory Validation: Ensuring outgoing inventory is accurate and consistent, as well as validating incoming shipments.
- Loading/Unloading & Organization: Handling delivery trucks, maintaining stockroom order, and ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Problem Resolution: Addressing inventory discrepancies, stockroom issues, and vendor-related problems.
- Physical Inventory & Reconciliation: Participating in physical inventories and reconciling stockroom data against system reports.
- Maintenance of Warehouse & Work Environment: Ensuring the warehouse is clean, organized, and adheres to safety standards.
Education & Certifications
- Minimum: High School Diploma or
- CDL not Required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 Must be able to pull, lift, reach and transport equipment parts and boxes.
Special Requirements
- Must have a clean driving record and will be subject to a pre-placement drug
