POSITION SUMMARY:
The Applications Analyst, Senior:
- Leads execution of professional services commitments as assigned
- Subject matter expert on assigned software applications
- Implements, trains and supports assigned software applications
- Direct interaction with external and internal customers in the execution of the responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
- Develop and maintain in depth understanding of assigned software applications
- Maintains working knowledge of application module integration
- Leads the creation and maintenance of internal and external documentation and implementation tools as assigned
- Participate in or leads customer professional services offerings including implementations as assigned
- Team leader on large or complex projects for other application analyst team members
- Participate in configuration management responsibilities as assigned
- Participate in process to validate product deployment program
- Accountable to comply with implementation standards and guidelines.
- Leads in the completion, submission and presentation of product and project documentation required for the assigned responsibilities
- Provide support of assigned software applications to the customer base through the established support processes
- Provide on-call and off hours support services as assigned and scheduled
- Provide call center and implementation command center coverage as scheduled
- Evaluate requirements and prepare for product demonstrations as assigned
Other Duties:
- Participate in process improvement opportunities facilitated by PMO management to tailor implementation and support processes to meet the needs of Vendors/ External Clients
- Travels as needed
- Participate in product sales opportunities as required

- Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training

Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to analyze the business and integrated workflow needs and align to software functionality
- Ability to work effectively maintaining accuracy and sensitivity under tight timelines and schedules.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior staff in the execution of projects
- Ability to work from an organizational perspective as well as independently and as a contributing team member.
- Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Possess exceptional skills in partnering with staff from multiple departments and in developing and maintaining long-term supportive relationships.
- Ability to organize time effectively while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Bachelors degree; equivalent combinations of work experience and\or education will be considered
- 4 or more years of practical professional experience in application maintenance and implementation
- 4 or more years of customer facing professional services
- Healthcare industry experience in Information Technology or Clinical Informatics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills involving complex execution with a high attention to detail
Desired:
- Prior experience in a non-IT clinical, administrative or technical specialty in healthcare
- Clinical license
- Prior supervisory experience
- Experience working in a similar role for a healthcare software development vendor
