Position Title: Project Manager, Cybersecurity
- Oversees the execution and coordination of cybersecurity initiatives and projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Manages resources, schedules, and teams to implement robust security strategies and drive effective risk management on the cybersecurity team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
- Leads a team of cybersecurity professionals to manage FedRAMP, commercial and enterprise tools.
- Supervises cybersecurity teams, fosters collaboration, assigns tasks, and provides guidance to ensure effective project execution.
- Monitors all SOC team activities such as weekly reviews, training, playbook creation and ensuring completion of daily and weekly checklists.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives.
- Manages timelines and project deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Communicates with team members and upper management about the status and priorities of security projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Tracks application renewals and licenses for all cybersecurity tools to ensure renewal process is not delayed.
Other Duties:
- Identifies opportunities for improvement in security processes and technology, integrating best practices and innovative solutions.
- Attends meetings, conferences, and training sessions related to cyber security and project management to stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
- Travels unassisted up to 10% per year as directed by management or as project requires.
SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education:
