Description
SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join our team in San Diego, CA. You will apply knowledge and expertise to perform technical engineering support for the Undersea Communications and Integration Program Office (PMW 770). You will apply knowledge and expertise to perform technical engineering support to acquire security engineering, Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), and systems engineering support services associated with the development, procurement, fielding, integration, modernization, and sustainment of the various submarine communications programs of PMW 770 and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) programs or commands with direct ties to PMW 770 programs or the NC3 Lead Capability Integrator (LCI) role including but not limited to the following organizations :
- Naval Information Warfare System Command Chief Engineer (NAVWAR 5.0)
- United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)
- Commander Submarine Force (COMSUBFOR)
- NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC)
- Naval Information Forces (NAVIFOR)
- This position requires that you work on-site AND must live in or near San Diego, CA
Responsibilities :
Gather system's documentation and build out the system's model.Ensure the MBSE models support engineering change processes, configuration management processes, and RMF processes for systems' development, production, sustainment and maintenance.Be able to promulgate MBSE to the submarine, shore, and land-based systems.Be able to define and decompose requirements for physical and functional system models and system-of-systems models that capture platform, enterprise, and capability-based data to inform engineering design analysis.Be able to build an MBSE models providing dynamic views that supports enterprise analysis including the ability to see available capabilities and data exchanges between different systems at various platforms.Be able to provide in the MSR the status of model progress development, information requested, and status of action items.Be able to input the SRR and SFR data into the MBSE model in preparation for PDRs.Be able to pull the SRR and SFR data from the MBSE to support CDRs and other SETR events and milestone decisions.Participate at the Government-led MBSE model validation events.Be able to prepare model data to support cyber situational awareness tool suites and tailor to submarine communications systems employment.Be able to prepare and use the MBSE model to import and export data for use with other applications (e.g., network discovery applications, simulation tools, system vulnerability scanning tools, cyber situational awareness tool suites) and external databases.Be able to provide engineering support to the system development process.Be able to generate cyber authorization artifacts using MBSE models including, but not limited to, Authorization Boundary Diagrams and Hardware / Software Lists, to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.Be able to develop a federated MBSE model approach to ensure that program system models are integrated seamlessly into both platform and enterprise MBSE models to support systems' integration and modernization.Be able to ensure the federated MBSE model enhances interoperability and analytical capabilities across program, platform, and enterprise levels. Be able to ensure the models capture platform baselines including, but not limited to, platform requirements and capabilities; systems and versions installed on the platforms; and size, weight, and power characteristics.SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals working for SBG Technology Solutions, Inc, a DSS, Inc. will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.Active Top-Secret Clearance or Top-Secret Clearance, eligible.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience :
Systems modelling using Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology; developing executable architectures, system models, simulations, or analysis of architectures (components, systems, SoS, enterprise, etc.).Experience in object modeling or object-oriented design concepts and techniques, including exposure to either UML or SysML, Magic Draw or CameoDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal direct management.Ability to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet project deadlinesYou must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this position
