What you'll do

You will be leading a globally dispersed team of database administrators. Not only will this individual be monitoring team workload and assigning resources to current and upcoming projects, but they will act as the liaison in meetings and filter communications down to the team.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director, SQL Storage.

Responsibility

• Lead a diverse team of SQL Server DBA's spanning a global footprint
• Manage and assign resources to various tasks and projects to support business goals
• Mentor and coach direct reports along with developing individual goals and priorities
• Attend meetings across various towers to represent the DBA team
• Create solutions to aid in visibility and time management through various tools such as Jira Dashboards
• Define standards and metrics to hold team accountable to

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

• 5 years SQL Server DBA experience
• Experience in cloud architecture, preferably Azure
• Experience leading projects from idea to deployment
• Experience coaching and mentoring peers
• Experience with Github
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with Terraform

Preferred

• Expert knowledge in IAC
• 10 years experience in the following: SQL Server, Azure, Powershell
• Experience leading and managing teams of 5 DBA's spanning a global timezone
• Expert knowledge in SQL Server

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations

Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

• Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
• Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Salary : $145,800 - $214,350
