We are currently seeking a Senior Landscape Designer for an award-winning landscape design firm , Dodds & Eder , located in Oyster Bay, NY . This is a full-time, in-person position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a renowned company. Below are the details of the position :
Focus of the Role :
Client Interface : Build and maintain relationships with clients, address concerns, and grow the profitability of the business.
Sales & Design : Cultivate new and existing clientele for the installation and design of high-quality landscape projects.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of landscape design experience.
Strong knowledge of horticulture and plant landscape materials.
Proven experience in sales , customer service , and related fields.
Highly deadline-oriented and detail-focused .
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Responsibilities :
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for landscape projects.
Team Management : Oversee employees, including design office and production staff when involved with landscape installations.
Client Qualification : Assess potential clients, understand their needs and budgets, and provide appropriate design solutions.
Design Support : Manage design support staff.
Field Measurements & Site Visits : Conduct site measurements and make adjustments to project plans based on existing conditions.
Proposals & Estimates : Prepare and present landscape design proposals and estimates using QuickBooks .
Coordination : Work with subcontractors for cost estimates, permit applications, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Client Satisfaction : Perform site visits periodically to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction and quality control.
Accounts Receivable : Handle payment collections in accordance with the signed contract terms.
Overview :
Ensure client satisfaction upon project completion.
Maintain profitability and control quality to minimize plant replacement costs.
Conduct all business dealings in an ethical manner and remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
