Department: Marketing and Public Information
Classification: Student Work Study
Location: Student Activities Center and Allied Health
Pay Rate: $8.00
Supervisor: Director of Foundation and Community Relations.
Length of Employment: The term of employment for all student work study jobs is the beginning of the academic year to the end of the academic year at the end of the Spring semester. Both supervisors and student workers can end their employment at any time throughout this time frame. All individuals eligible for student work study must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of six (6) credit hours of enrollment throughout their employment and remain in good academic standing as outlined by school policies and federal financial aid guidelines.
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Foundation and Community Relations, the Marketing Assistant and Photographer is responsible for assisting with all marketing functions and assisting with media outlets, advertisements, and photography.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
- Assist staff with facility management and set up for events including, but not limited to, setup/cleanup of events, set up of equipment, etc.
- Assist with event operations as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, photography, decoration setup, customer service, print shop, etc.
- Assist with campus photography/videography/drone footage in addition to photo and video editing.
- Assist with any office work or administrative assistant duties as assigned by the supervisor including, but not limited to, office work, copying of materials in the print shop, assisting with graphic designing for social media, etc.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or athletic administration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Must be enrolled in and maintain six (6) credit hours at Dodge City Community College.
- Must remain in good academic standing.
- Available in the evenings and on weekends.
- Skills with photography and videography including editing.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- General knowledge of athletics.
- Self motivated.
- Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to carry equipment and supplies.
- Ability to ambulate and navigate stairs and ramps throughout the campus.
