Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and be eligible for the national exam, or a related Human Services program from an accredited university. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work with clients in stressful situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and develop goal-oriented service plans to address client needs
- Protect children, elderly, and at-risk adults; maintain existing family units and individual autonomy in the community
- Coordinate access to services, monitor cases, and terminate services when goals are attained
- Teach clients about available community resources and how to gain access to needed services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
- Eligibility for national exam (for Social Worker I)
- Current Social Work Certification within the State of Wisconsin (for Social Worker II)
- Master's degree in Social Work (for Social Worker III)
- Substance Abuse Professional certification may be required
Working Conditions
This role requires occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and frequent travel, which may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions, unsanitary environments, and hostile individuals.
