What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appraiser Assistant I position at Dodge County Assessor's Office?
The Dodge County Assessor’s Office is accepting resumes for a full-time (35 HOURS PER WEEK) position as an Appraiser Assistant I. The applicant must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work well with other employees, the general public, and government officials. They must be able to work independently or as a team, prioritize work, be detail oriented, meet deadlines, make decisions using established procedures and policies, utilize general office practices, possess good knowledge and experience in using a variety of computer systems and office equipment, and have the physical ability to walk in all types of weather. The individual must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing, have a valid Nebraska driver’s license and clean driving record, a working knowledge of mathematics, business English and spelling, good phone etiquette, and maintain confidentiality on all private documents. Knowledge of mapping and/or real estate would be an asset to this position. Duties will include property reviews (photos, measurements, gathering new data), verifying permits, sketching, typing, data entry, updating property record cards, working with GIS data and land use studies, various mathematical calculations, and other miscellaneous jobs as needed.
