Qualifications:
High School Diploma or higher
Powerschool Knowledge preferred
Job Goal :
To contribute to efficient and effective flow of communication with the administrators, faculty and staff and to contribute to effective school public relations by prompt and efficient handling of all management, information, reports and financial records
Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with previsions of the Board's policy on the Evaluation of Support Services Personnel
Responsibilities:
Performs usual office routines
Maintains such student records as shall be required
Enter absences and tardies for daily attendance/schedule attendance meeting Supervises the registration of students
Maintains accurate attendance records and submits reports on attendance to the attendance supervisor Prepares admission slips for students returning to school after absence
Evaluates transcripts of incoming students
Supervises the preparation and transmittal of transcripts and other official documents relating to students
Make sure office and equipment is secure at end of day Index cards for all students
Responds to requests for information about students from colleges, prospective employers, and similar agencies with legitimate interests
Prepares an annual report of transfers and withdrawals, indicating the reason for each student departure from the district's school system
Operates multi-positioned telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls Answers questions of callers according to school policy; takes messages for staff members; and pages authorized personnel over the intercom system
Maintains an alphabetical file of staff members' names, room locations, and telephone extensions to expedite relaying of calls
Performs such other miscellaneous school communications duties as may be assigned
Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments, and directs or escorts them to proper person
Answers office telephone and responds appropriately to requests for information
Maintains an attractive and comfortable reception area which includes a reading table stocked with current school district publications an periodicals of general interest
Reports immediately the presence in the building of any visitor who bypasses the reception desk or any suspicious activity or unusual behavior on the part of visitors
Performs such other office duties as may be assigned Maintains and orders supplies for teachers Maintains visitor's log
Receives, sorts, and delivers all central office incoming mail from the U.S. Post Office Receives all outgoing central office mail daily
Prepares parcels for mailing or shipping, and receives and distributes shipments from truckers and delivery services
Receives and delivers interoffice written communications
