CAPT Technical Sales Training Program - January 2025

JOB TITLE/LOCATION: CAPT Technical Sales Training Program – Greenville, SC DESCRIPTION: The Customer and Product Training (CAPT) Program is a nine (9) month salaried curriculum that offers recent college graduates a comprehensive sales, product, and application training for Dodge® mechanical power transmission products. The CAPT Trainee will reside in Greenville, SC, and report to the Dodge corporate office. Upon completion of the program, the CAPT graduate will be assigned to a Dodge sales territory in the continental United States as a Field Sales Engineer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Participate in both classroom and hands-on trainings oriented towards marketing, customer service, product application, industry specific product solutions, and development of professional selling abilities. Develop leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills. Demonstrate the ability to effectively apply the requisite training through formal technical presentations, written testing, verbal examinations, and comprehension of industry-specific applications. Participate in on-site customer visits and commercial learning opportunities across the continental United States. Exhibit exemplary attendance and timeliness in all job functions. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or Business with a Sales emphasis. MIND SET AND SKILLS: Willingness to re-locate to Greenville, SC for the duration of the 9-month training program. High motivation to succeed. Strong work ethic. Ability to conduct self-directed scheduling. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Eagerness to adopt a solutions-centric mindset. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Mechanical aptitude and curiosity.
