Job Summary:
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for quality service, sales functions when applicable, to all Commercial Lines Dodge Partners clients and prospects. This position assists the producers in managing a book of business; including new and renewal marketing and placement. They will work in conjunction with the Commercial Lines team, to service or market, each account collaboratively, efficiently and timely. Must develop and maintain the highest degree of rapport between producers, clients, prospects, carriers and agency personnel.
Essential Functions:
1. Demonstrates company core values.
2. Sets priorities and manages work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions, change requests and other responsibilities.
3. Responsible for the completion and accuracy of requests submitted to carriers.
4. Consults and informs producers of important account activities.
5. Quotes new commercial lines business for producers leveraging agency resources, technology and carriers.
6. Remarkets existing business based on service team requests or to meet client expectations.
7. Develops and maintains a partnership and process with the service team to obtain quality quotes and remarkets.
8. Prepares all types of commercial lines business that aligns with carrier and industry standards.
9. Monitors work flow and suggests solutions to meet deadlines.
10. Provides comprehensive attention to detail and thorough documentation to support E&O standards.
11. Develops processes and conducts training for the Commercial Lines Department.
12. Maintains proper documentation and task management in Worksmart to sustain accurate customer and prospect files.
13. Negotiates with carrier underwriters and company personnel in a timely and professional manner.
14. Keeps informed of the insurance industry through independent study, continuing education, and agency resources.
15. Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
16. Interacts well with others.
17. Other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
· High School diploma required; bachelor’ degree preferred.
· 5 years experience in the insurance industry.
· Nebraska Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred. Must obtained if hired. Additional designations a plus
Required Skills / Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance.
· Strong organization and time management skills.
· Prior experience using an agency management system; proficient in using Microsoft Office.
· Highly motivated, self-starter who works independently and as part of a team to accomplish established agency goals.
· Accountable for own actions and delivers on commitments.
· Demonstrated Leadership skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
