Summary of Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of a Security position is greeting guests, providing information about the campgrounds and facilities, patrol campground and enforcing the Innkeeper Rules and Regulations. This position works at night and will be asked for assistance in the middle of the night from campers. This position will be required to record details of events while on patrol and to leave detailed notes to the day time staff on issues that came up. This position is extremely safety oriented and requires a high level of attention to detail and awareness of surroundings. This position is a key member of the Dodge Ridge Team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

They must be observant for activities within the campground requiring immediate attention and communicate to supervisor.
Each day you will have specific work to perform which may include the following:
- Greet guests and answer any questions that they may have.
- Explain the campground layout and direct guests to campsites.
- Enforcement of Innkeeper Rules and Regulations while patrolling campgrounds. This is accomplished through face-to face contact and camper education.
- Utilize quick and reasonable judgement when dealing with issues.
- This position must be a visible presence in the campground while on shift and be constantly patrolling the campgrounds.
- Report emergencies and security issues to supervisor in timely manner.
- Communicate to Law Enforcement any possible problem sites.
- Create detailed and accurate summaries of camper interactions each shift for the day time staff to review and follow-up as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in a public safety sensitive position (i.e. security job, fire, police, emergency responder)
- Strong customer service skills. Ability to work with others, be well groomed and present a good public image.
- Ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and written.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, trouble shoot and prioritize.
- Safe working habits at all times and strict adherence to the Dodge Ridge Safety Policies.
- Ability to lift heavy objects with weights up to and in excess of 50 lbs.
- Good manual and physical dexterity and good physical fitness.
- Be punctual, honest, trustworthy and possess good judgment
- Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the Motor Vehicle Record qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.

Work Schedules
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.
Working Conditions
At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically outside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members. It can be noisy, cold, wet, or humid. You may be expected to work in high places and frequently you will work around moving objects.
Uniforms
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
